Floral Designs to Die For

When it comes to budgeting floral arrangements for your wedding, you will be shocked.  Sticker shock that is. In my experience past, when you mention the word “wedding”, vendors double, even triple the cost of what any other event may cost. While floral arrangements are labor intensive, I could not believe what some vendors wanted to charge for flowers! Depending on where you live, the total cost of Weddings are averaging around $25-40+K, if not more.

Yes, this is a down payment on a house or the price of a new car, but this day will be one of the most memorable days of your and new spouse’s life. This is where emotions fly, especially if you and your fiance are footing the bill. The most important factor: Stay Calm. I cannot emphasize this enough. Even when things are not going your way, or a vendor falls through…stay calm. I cannot emphasize the importance of your sanity through this stressful, yet joyous time in your life. At the end of it all, your wedding day may have some oops and downs, but once you say “I do”, nothing else matters.

At Darcy Oliver Design, we work with budgets of all sizes, and we encourage stress-free creativity. Floral Arrangements are supposed to support your style and overall look of what you imagine. From simplistic to extravagant, there is no right or wrong way.  It’s all up to you. If you have no idea what you would prefer, we can help you make it work.  For you. For your Special Day.

Here are some unique and gorgeous Floral Designs that we at Darcy Oliver Design can help you achieve! Helping you think outside the box, and letting your true style shine is our prerogative.

Taken at Puakea Ranch by Photographer Brandon Chesbro, my friend Natalie Katzenbach Edwards wed her beau with whimsical flair. Her Floral Headpiece by Wild Halo in Nashville, TN. looked stunning, and her bouquet of King Protea complimented her breathtaking look.

Luckily, I was able to find some of the last Peonies at the floral market to create this Ivory Peony, Pink Spray Rose, and Cymbidium Orchid Bouquet. Since Ostrich Feathers were the icing on the cake for this Marie Antoinette inspired wedding, I added just a few plumes so they would not over power the gorgeous blooms.

Helping brides see their dreams come to life is what we strive for. While you may see all of your bridesmaids carrying a bouquet, have you considered another angle? This dreamy Bridesmaid Wreath via Ruffled Blog is carried by their side as they stroll on down the aisle. Perfect for an outdoor or woodsy wedding, this is a unique twist on the old bouquet.

This gorgeous bride and friend of mine, Meredith Thornton Hauber carried an assortment of Pink Hydrangeas, Pink Roses, Cymbidium Orchids, and Dusty Miller. Not only did this gorgeous couple make everyone cry during their ceremony, I could not have been happier to help them make their Wedding Day special! More on the happy couple’s wedding to be featured soon!
