Wedding season is upon us, and if you want to give a creative bridal shower or wedding gift consider Custom Wine Labels. I came across a custom wedding wine label gift idea that represents a marriage milestone in the couple’s relationship. With the Photoshop magic by my sister, Molly Dillon, we incorporated their magical engagement photos taken at Joshua Tree by Montana Dennis. Along with a sweet milestone poem, the photos add a personal and memorable touch.
When each important milestone occurs in the couple’s marriage, they pop the cork and celebrate with a glass…or bottle of wine! From a bottle to drink on their Wedding Night, to their First Big Purchase, to Baby Makes Three, it is a nice little reminder that even though the wedding reception may be over, the love they have for each other on any old day deserves to celebrated too. Cheers to Mr. + Mrs. DiPirro-Beard, wishing you both a lifetime of firsts together as a family!
Not only are these DIY Glitter Dipped Champagne Bottles perfect for the New Year, they make fabulous hostess and shower gifts too! I recently made these sparkly champagne splits for my Baby Shower as a gift for the prize winners, but they are oh so easy to make for the holidays too.
You can use full size Champagne or Sparkling Cider Bottles, but in this case I bought a pack of Champagne Splits, which look pretty wrapped in cellophane treat bags tied up with string! I hot glued a starfish on the bow and paired the gift with seashell chocolates for a nod to my Mermaid Themed Baby Shower. You can add your own little decorative touch, such as a gold paper party horn to ring in the New Year at a New Year’s Party!
Check out my Post on How To DIY these sparklers, and the only addition I made to the design itself was adding the Pink Glitter on the bottom first :: You want to only spread the glue on the bottle about an inch or two from the bottom, and then apply the pink glitter before you smear on the rest of the glue to add the gold glitter. Use the glitter color of your choice, and serve chilled!
Happy Holidays from The Olivers! This incredibly adorable Illustrated Portrait was created by my sweet friend Allison Johnson, owner of AlliRooDesigns. Her Custom Family Portraits are designed with you in mind, even your furry friends! AlliRooDesigns captured my husband and I when I was around 15 weeks pregnant (hence the baby bump in the illustration hehe), and even our beloved Newfoundland Saylor and Gizmo, our Holland Lop Bunny!
Perfect for personalized Greeting Cards, Announcements, Weddings, Showers, and gifts! Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and you could surprise your sweetie with an original artwork instead of a card to hang in your home year round.
How it Works:
After purchase of listing (on Etsy.com), send AlliRooDesigns your favorite family photos via email and she will create a unique, fun piece of art that will surely brighten up your home!
Your illustration will be delivered a JPEG printable file directly to your e-mail address within 3 days of purchase. The file can then be printed and framed, given as a gift, or displayed in your home.
The print will be sent formatted to fit in most standard size frames, but can be resized as needed to fit the frame of your choosing!
That’s it! This simple process is a priceless memory that you and yours will cherish for years to come. Contact AlliRooDesigns for your Illustrated Family Portrait today!
Not only have I been dreaming about this day forever, I am so blown away with the dreamy images Taplin Photo captured of my husband, baby bump, and I on the beaches of La Jolla, CA. A little mermaid is on her way, and my love for mermaids and the ocean inspired this Maternity Photo Shoot. We are so blessed to live in such a magical place, and I cannot wait to share my love for the beach and marine life with our daughter!
These memorable images of a special time in our lives will be cherished for years to come, and I highly recommend Taplin Photo to capture your memories as well! Not only did Emily Taplin graduate from the same school as my talented sister Molly Dillon Photography, she is so much fun to do a photo shoot with! Emily Taplin puts you at ease, and she will capture all the laughs and smiles along the way.

Perfect for Weddings, Baby Showers, Parties, or Photo Shoots, a floral crown adds a simple yet beautiful statement to any ensemble. Made with real flowers and foliage, this natural and whimsy DIY Floral Crown is so easy to accomplish, just follow these Three Easy Steps!
DIY Floral Crown Steps:
Pick up Green Floral Wire Stems, Green Floral Tape, Green Foliage & a small Bouquet of your favorite flower ( I chose Pink Dahlias) plus a secondary, complimentary flower (I chose Baby’s Breath).
You will need floral shears or scissors to cut your flowers. Cut the flowers down to a 2″ Stem, and cut the long green foliage near the bottom (discarding the thicker, woody stem).
Intertwine 2 Green Wires together, making 2 thicker Green Wires. Then Intertwine the thicker green wires. Measure around your head with the wires to get the right size and then join them together. Wrap Green Floral Tape around the entire Wire Crown to prevent the wire from catching onto your hair.
Pick a side where you would like the Flowers on your crown. Then take the largest of the blooms, and secure that flower closer to your ear. You will then build out towards your temple, gently covering the stems and tape with the blooms as you tuck them behind each other.
Voila! You are ready to wear your Floral Crown! If the flowers deem to be too heavy, you can pinch the wires at the back of your head for a more snug fit. Lay flat in your refrigerator until you are ready to wear your floral crown!
This past weekend when my husband and I were back in Franklin, TN., not only did we have a Gender Reveal Party for our Baby Oli, we had a Gender Reveal Photo Shoot too! In the fields where the Battle of Franklin took place during the Civil War, one of our fondest memories was visiting this site at the Carnton Plantation.
Pure countryside bumbling with bees and a warm breeze, my father-in-law Kerry Oliver took some creative photos of us, edited by Molly Dillon Photography. Without further adieu, we are excited to announce the gender of our Baby Oli!
When you and your partner decide to start a family, you both are excited, nervous, and even scared of the unknown. The one thing you do know is that your love is so great that you want to share it with a child of your own. This special time in your life is like nothing you’ve experienced before, just like being in love for the first time.
Share those butterflies with your partner by surprising him or her with the same excitement you felt when you saw that positive pregnancy test. If you are a horrible secret keeper, this may not be the approach for you, but I only had to wait a few hours! This Pregnancy Announcement is something you prep before you know you are pregnant, but for heaven’s sake do not torture yourself by waiting too long to tell your partner. I did have a silent scream in the mirror when I found out, and did a little dance in the bathroom…had to be discreet with my husband in the next room.
This DIY project is something that you and your partner will remember forever, so choose items that mean something. My husband and I met in Franklin, TN., 20 twenty minutes South of Nashville. We now live back in my hometown San Diego, so I wanted to mesh places that mean something to us.
My husband is Johnny Cash’s biggest fan, and has always said, “when we have a baby, he or she will wear a Johnny Cash onesie”. Hello Amazon, and a week later this adorable “Crawl the Line” onesie arrives. Now to mesh San Diego with Nashville. Home Goods is a Designer’s Secret BFF. I discovered this sea themed Secret Book Box, and it would fit the onesie perfectly. Then all you need is to write a little note announcing you are pregnant, wrap it up pretty, and voila!
I took my husband to our spot in La Jolla where we carved our initials when we first moved here together. I then “took his picture” on my phone, while video taping the entire reaction. Cost of these items for the DIY Pregnancy Announcement: $25.00. My husband’s reaction when he found out I am pregnant: Priceless.
