If you are searching for an adorable and unique baby shower theme for your sister or friend, you really need to take note! Celebrate the Mama-to-be and her Little Cutie with a Clementine Themed Baby Shower! There are a few simple and elegant decor pieces you can easily DIY at home before the day of the baby shower.
If you have not seen this sweet baby balloon at Target for $3, you are really missing out! Add a touch of elegance with real eucalyptus branches, Italian Ruscus, and strategically place tangerines or clementines throughout your table garland or arrangement. Create an organic flow around your cake plate, and be sure to tier your cake plates for extra height!
This sweet little rustic cake was chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. We added a candied orange slice from Trader Joe’s that we also topped the cupcakes with for an extra sweet surprise! I made this little CUTIE cake bunting with a typewriter font, twine, hot glue, and paper straws. Super simple DIY project that takes little to no time at all.
The Little Cutie Clementine Balloon Banner was another story! In all honesty, it took more patience and breath (literally) than anything else. I ordered these orange balloons, and the key is to not blow them up all the way. If you do blow them up all the way, you will lose the round shape, and then they are more susceptible to popping! When tying the balloons onto the twine, use about 10″ spacing. Once I had the balloons tied on the twine, I hung the banner up with tape on my sliding glass window. Now is time to add the Italian Ruscus with floral tape. I would clip off the woodiest part at the end and discard, and then clip the top piece in half. The smaller pieces made it easier to to “bend” along the line of the banner.
If you have a mantle or guest tables, simply arrange the eucalyptus and Italian Ruscus in a garland or festoon arrangement. Add little cuties to this arrangement, and Chamomile and Daisies look especially festive in an aqua Mason jar donned with little clementines on skewers.
You can really have fun with the drink station too! Dress it up with sliced blood oranges, sprigs of mint, and little cuties! Premix champagne and tangerine juice, and add orange slices and mint to ice water. Not only is it refreshing, it adds a touch of elegance and creates continuity. These orange slice napkins were found at Dollar Tree of all places during the early summer! Also loving me some Target dollar section decor items with this watercolor banner for $3!
These watercolor invitations are the perfect accompaniment to the Clementine Themed Baby Shower. (Be sure to add your RSVP contact, address of the location, and the couple’s Baby Registry–all hidden for this post.) I really found the Baby List’s Registry was user friendly, and easy to edit and add items from any store online! Even Etsy Shops, which is perfect for those sweet little swaddles, baby accessories, and unique baby decor items.
Can we just talk about how gorgeous my little sister is? She looks so radiant in a citrus orchard for her maternity photos. She is a local San Diego Photographer, and I had the pleasure of helping her with this shoot! I also made this adorable Little Cutie Floral Crown for her baby shower and maternity shoot. I am so happy with how delicate and airy it looks, and if you would like one similar, or would like one with flowers, please message me via Forever Les Fleurs!
It has been such a busy week around here, because my sister’s Little Cutie was born on September 4th! I am so in love with Baby Jamie, and I am so happy for my sister and her growing little family!
